DESIGN PRINCIPLE

Identify the design concept of architecture and design that is used to utilize and create order in an architectural composition and spatial layout. Order relates not just to geometric regularity, but also to a situation in which each part of a whole is appropriately arranged in relation to the other parts and its purpose in order to create a harmonious arrangement.

Task

To introduce the design aspect, the form utilized in this project should be extracted from one of the patterns each group member generated in assignment 1. Each group member should create two mockup models (10cmH x 10cmW x 10cmL) by using the concept of design principles. Then, to integrate diverse design ideas to construct the final model within the size of 70cm L x 70cm W x 70cm H to explore multiple volumetric forms and space.

REFLECTION

This is the group assignment in ITSD; there are seven members in this group, including me. However, a lot of members didn't contribute much to the final model. Some have just completed a few things, while others continue to offer excuses for their unable to help, while some have only contributed ideas without assisting in model making. I felt so tired and disappointed in them. Lastly, I would like to thank myself for never giving up on this assignment, even though my teammates didn't contribute much.
