SPACE AND SENSORY

Architecture, in addition to pleasing the eye and meeting the needs of the human body (i.e. anthropometrics and ergonomics) must also satisfy the needs of the human soul (mind, emotion and will). Therefore as architects, we should not just make spaces that are beautiful, functional and fit for purpose, we should also consider if our spaces are inspiring? Poetic? Or uplifting? And we should be asking if the architecture that we are making is meaningful to the inhabitants it will be hosting.

Task

Re-examine your 1:1 structure and develop it into a series of Sensorial Spaces with a total volumetric boundaries of 20m³ (±3m³) anticipating user’s journey, experience and emotion.

REFLECTION

This is my last AD01 assignment and I'm very confused with this work and don't know where to start. I'm literally just building a model and trying to explain the senses. To be honest, I know that I did a poor job in the final assignment this time, which should not be my level. I should improve my time management and procrastination.
