This module will emphasize technical drawing, observational abilities, and imaginative reactions to subject matter as visual representations of the built and natural surroundings. This module seeks to create a foundational understanding of diverse drawings and their significance in the construction industry by examining the many types and methods of drawings used in this discipline. This will result in the development of visual communication skills and an appreciation for the potential of technical drawing as an investigative tool, as well as a knowledge of the universality of objective language in the transmission and reception of information.

REFLECTION

I'm glad that I met a good tutor in this module. He always try to help us improve our drawing so that we can get a better result in this module. After completing this module, I had improved my drawing skill so that I can apply drawing as a means of communication in order to express three dimensional space and object into two-dimensional orthographic drawings. Besides that, I can identify the different type of drawings used in the construction industry. For example: site plan, floor plan, elevation drawings, section drawings and detail drawings. Lastly, I also can identify the basic principles, conventions and techniques in different types of drawings so that it will be more easy to me in future degree life.
