STRUCTURE AND BODY
Design and construct a 1:1 structure for a specific action, in groups. The structure will be placed in a real dormant green space to activate its use. You will be working with Bamboo and be required to understand the nature and characteristics of the material and demonstrate basic knowledge in construction. You will explore construction details, e.g. joints, joinery and structural quality with other supporting materials (rope, steel, tensile fabric). You are to develop your design through a series of workshops, tests and investigations involving scaled study models, exploring architectural elements and principles (learned from Project 1) and incorporating anthropometry and ergonomics into your 1:1 structure.
Task
Research, explore and understand materials’ characteristics. Study on anthropometrics and ergonomics to amalgamate the design intent 1:1 structure based on the elements and principle that learned from Project 1.

REFLECTION
This is my first group assignment in AD01 and I'm really excited about this assignment as I get to build a 1:1 scale bamboo structure in my first sem of Architecture for public to use. This means a lot to me. The task was quite tiring due to the complex design, but I would like to thank my groupmates for the time and effort that they put into making this bamboo structure a success. The results were amazing and I look forward to working with them again.
